We are seeking someone to join our team as an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to facilitate and ensure operational compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and standards. Responsibilities include involvement with various aspects of engineering, manufacturing, and facility maintenance.

Position Highlights:

• Maintain MSDS Program.
• Responsible for hazardous waste storage, disposal and tracking.
• Conduct routine EHS inspections and training.
• Participate with management of the emergency response teams.
• Perform audits of EHS programs and procedures.
• Assist on various projects relating to EHS issues.
• Completes required OHSA, EPA, LDEQ, DOL reports.
• Performs sampling and inspections required by permits.
• Overseas and coordinates Industrial Hygiene monitoring and drug testing.
• Tracks injury rates and corrective action completion.
• Responsible for compliance with PSM including contractor safety program and maintaining current list of approved contractors and associated documents.

Skills, Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors Degree, preferably in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or a related field.
• Possess prudent and practical decision-making abilities, have excellent communication skills, and an ability to work independently.
• MS Office Suite preferred with spreadsheet/database proficiency.
• Prefer experience in an environmentally regulated industry and manufacturing environment.
